Happy Sunday!

So as I said in my previous blog I will be doing my first product impression blog today! The product I will be talking about today is definitely a favorite of mine. It is the ever amazing, Catwalk Curl Amplifier.

I was introduced to curl amplifier about 2 years ago by a hair stylist. It was my first time ever going to her to get my hair done, and when she saw the type of hair that I had she asked me what products I used. Of course, I said that I used hair gel. She told me that hair gel is one of the worst things I could use on my hair because the alcohol in hair gel dries out my already very dry hair. So I took her advice, and it has been a godsend.

Catwalk Curl Amplifier is probably going to be the product that I compare all other products to because it is that wonderful.

Catwalk Curl Amplifier is a thick, creamy product that has some sort of conditioning qualities about it. Every time I wash it out of my hair it feel like I had conditioner in my hair.

So... here is how I use it:

After washing and brushing my hair, I take about 2-3 pumps at a time and work it into my hair. I start at the bottom of my hair and work my way to the root (starting at the top will weigh your hair down and make your beautiful curls less voluptuous).

I will do this about 5-6 times so that all of my hair is saturated.

And that is all that I do with the curl amplifier.

I prefer to add a lot more product then it suggests because I am more comfortable with "hard, crunchy" hair. Softer curls still scare be a bit because of all of my frizz, but I am trying it out.

Below are pictures of my hair as it dries. The more it dries, the bigger my hair seems to get, regardless of how much product I put in my hair.

(Last pic is terrible haha I was in the middle of talking.)

Catwalk Curl Amplifier can be bought at almost any store that sells hair products (I buy mine at Stop & Shop or Target usually).

Please let me know of any suggestions you may have of other products to try out!

Why am I here?

So why am I here?

Well..for starters I am a young woman with VERY curly hair. I have grown up without ever being taught how to handle and/or style my hair, so I have pretty much just picked up little tricks along the way. I am no where close to being a hair stylist or expert, but I am someone who understands the struggle of having curly hair. I am still researching and learning new things every day.

I have been contemplating on whether I should just do a blog, or if I should do a YouTube channel as well. To be completely honest, the whole YouTube thing intimidates me quite a bit. SO here I am.

My goal with this blog is to try out different hair products that are made for us ladies with curly hair and report back the results. I also may try out some different  hair styles, etc., but regardless of what it is I will take you along on my journey. I am not entirely sure where this blog will end up. It may just be curly hair products, or I could add some beauty and lifestyle stuff in here as well. I am not entirely sure.

All I know is that I am going to start with my first product post on Sunday, 1/26.

I hope you stick around with me throughout my journey here. If you have any suggestions for hair products or styles that you would like me to try out please let me know!

Here is a very little sneak peak into what my hair looks like (disclaimer: not the best picture I've ever taken, but you get the idea. And my hair isn't full dry yet..so it gets bigger):
